We have sold over 500 copies of this little book, we feel confident it is a valuable resource to many!
Our 24-page booklet gives more in-depth information on many aspects of wool applique, including techniques for felting woven wool fabrics, preparing patterns from freezer paper, working with wool shapes without fusing, drawings of embroidery stitches, and information on framing wool applique projects as art. Also includes color photographs of step-by-step techniques for stitching the blanket stitch "flat to the table" which is the method of choice that Kathy teaches in her classes, plus color photos of how to make the infamous "anchoring knot" used to stabilize the blanket stitch at corners and when transitioning between regular applique and those areas that are dimensional.
Written as a complement to our pattern designs, but also a great reference for any beginner or experienced woolie to use with many other wool applique designs.

I appreciate this little book. I am new to wool Appliqué. I wish I had found it before I started my first project. It would have prevented some mistakes. The photos are very helpful, especially when starting and ending the blanket stitch. I like the stitch samples in the back. I look forward to referring to it in the future.

Gave this little gem 5 stars. I have been doing applique for ages, but I still learned a lot of new techniques from this little booklet. Can't remember who recommended it, but it is a jewel. My wish list: I would love to have a video on how to start my stitches and end my stitch and going around the corner/point. I hate points and there are always a bunch. I'm a bit dyslexic so a video would help, too. BUT, I'm trying to do this on my own from the written words and photos. Ending stitch is a lot like hiding your stitch in needlepoint which I do. Thanks for all the clearly written instructions!

As a beginner/novice stitcher of wool appliqué, I have found this little book to be packed full of useful information - just what I was looking for to get started! There is a lot of detail, obviously written from an experienced instructor's point of view. I am very glad I bought it and will recommend it to others!
