Traditions of baking with my Auntie Von, who also taught me to sew, are the memories that came to life when I created this design. Honored to be featured for the first time in Early American Life magazine with a wool applique design for their readers! Each cookie, candy and yellowware bowl can be displayed separately, or in combination as displayed. This kit includes all the felted wools and all the hand dyed "The Gentle Art-Wool Threads" for stitching. Christmas 2021 issue of Early American Life magazine is required for pattern and instructions.

  • A little antique banded yellowware bowl, ready to be filled!
  • A ginger who looks good enough to eat - but he's made of wool, so he would not taste very good! Decorated with boucle thread for his icing!
  • Selecting the perfect fabric makes creating this candy cane simple. Adding stitching embellishments to the star cookie makes it realistic.
  • Pinned together and hanging in a shadow box frame, with a cotton background! Another idea for display!

This "sweet piece" was designed exclusively for Early American Life magazine's Christmas 2021 issue, and now we can offer the full kit here! We are honored to have our first feature project in Early American Life!  Thanks to the editorial staff at the magazine, for asking us to design something special for their Christmas issue.

Sweet Traditions KIT - stitch up some baking memories with our charming individual wool ornaments, that can be nestled into a wool yellowware bowl!

The kit includes a complete pattern, all the necessary felted wool fabrics, and all the hand dyed wool threads too, exclusively from The Gentle Art and 3 tiny rusty bells!
