Williamsburg Christmas all year long

I have always had the fruit over the front door at Christmas. Now I am going to make this and have it framed to hang over the fireplace year round.
I traced the design on light weight interfacing and sewed it to the background.
This makes it very easy to position the applique.
I love the wool floss. It is very easy to work with and doesn't fray. Imagine my surprise when I discovered it is from a company in New Albany, Ohio which is only a few miles from where I live.
Love the selection of colors of the fruit.
